In the last year this page has received many useful and interesting comments from arborists and others around the world. Sadly however, we continue to see petty sniping and largely irrelevant comments being posted. Please, if you want to participate in the discussion do so with some decorum. If you want to gripe and whine do it directly to the recipient in a private email. This discussion group is not the right place! It was designed and remains as a place for intelligent discussion and interchange of information which will benefit us all and our profession. But, to be professional, all users and participants need to act as professionals. By constantly posting a series of never-ending petty comments and occasionally objectionable statements, a few people drag down the overall tenor of the page and of our profession. As the ISA web page committee works on a new layout, we are trying to decide how to make the page more functional and to encourage professional discussions rather than imm
ature rants.

For all of you using the web page and discussion we welcome your input so that we can make the page more useful and truly promote good arboriculture. A well founded sense of etiquette will go a long way for those few people who keep posting less than useful comments.

Happy New Year to all.
