We at the University of Illinois Grounds have ample opportunity to deal with post construction site trees. We are currently trying the growth retardant Profile. This product was tested by Gary Watson and the results were published in the Journal of Arboriculture, volume 22, September 1996 on page 211. We are only a few months into the tests and the label says it may take up to 18 months to see effects. I will try to post our results.
