Iam curious how caliper sizing is determined in nursery stock.
I know that typically caliper sizing in a mature tree is determined
by measuring d.b.h. however, it would seem that nursery stock must be
determined by some other method (i.e. 1' off the rootball?). I would
appreciate any information regarding this subject.
