Do you feel guilty about taking this living organisum apart? I hope there was no life left in the plant. To cimb just to conquer seem to be against Arboricultural Morals. Perhaps I am wrong, we try to preserve old trees. I am in New England, Boston area, IF i HAD A PLANT THIS LARGE I WOULD try to protect it. Maybe I missed your point, talking about a " Champion " and preserving it is one thing. Removal of such a plant with out cause is a sin. I truly hope that I have mis-understood your comments.
