Mr Concentric, I was actually planning on going to Arbor Games until two huge projects that we bid on just came up. We will probally work 6 to 7 days a week till x-mas just to get them completed. After reading your last posting I am begining to think that it would be a waste of time and money to go after all. If there was only a real alternative such as two week course hitting all the topics you had mentioned I would be more than happy to attend. Your mind is nothing more than a muscle and you can never fill it with enough knowledge. However unlike other trades ours is somewhat unique in its own right. In order to be a complete true tree care proffesional you must have to master a wide variety of skills. Most of us have learned the basics and are very isolated from the outside world. We are so busy doing our own work we fail to ever get to see how others do things differrntly. What works for me might not work for you. But I am always open to give anything a try . Like the split tail,
tried it for a day or tw
o did not like it never used it again. You can never ever stop learning and the most stupid question is the one you never ask. Alot of climbers I have met are not exactly the sharpest knives in the drawer. They see it as a job and nothing more and are not interested in learning or trying to get ahead. So it all falls back to each individual just how far you take it is up to you.I might not always agree with what you have to say but I do enjoy reading your satirical thoughts, maybe you could get a job at Arbor Age.Have a safe week make alot of money and most of all keep your sense of humor.
