The International Society of Arboriculture Announces Resignation of Finance Director
CHAMPAIGN, IL (July 13, 2005)-The International Society of Arboriculture announces the resignation of Mary Schmitz as Director of Finance. Schmitz, who was initially engaged as a consultant in February 2000, was hired full time to assist with the financial turn-around of the organization. Schmitz has also assisted many chapters and professional affiliations with financial-related questions.
Before coming to ISA, Schmitz worked as an auditor with one of the then "Big Six" accounting firms, and subsequently as the controller at a publicly-traded corporation. Schmitz is a Certified Public Accountant and is licensed in the state of Illinois. Schmitz graduated with highest honors from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors of Science degree in Accountancy.
Her last day at ISA is scheduled for mid-August. She has accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer for Fox Development Corporation (FDC) in Champaign, IL (www.fox-companies.com).
